Don't give up...

Here's why you shouldn't give up on your dreams. Meet my son, the goalie... a ninth grader. He was talented, and lucky, enough to make one of the high school lacrosse teams this spring - the freshmen team. Not JV. Certainly not Varsity. He was bummed. Thought about quitting. Thought lots about quitting. But he came to realize that it would be better to be the one and only goalie on the freshman team, than have to share the position on the other teams. He'll get lots of play time... lots of experience.

He has played great all season. One shut-out. Lots of wins. His freshmen team has done better than any freshmen team in the school's history. AJ was playing for a great team, and was having the time of his life.

Then came the call... and the emails... the Varsity coach needs AJ to suit up for the JV and Varsity games for the rest of the season. While it is unfortunate that two goalies had been injured, AJ learned a valuable lesson ~ good things come when you don't give up. He didn't quit, and now he's playing for all three teams. If you could only see his smile...

Dream big... don't give up... and then sit back and smile!
